With its impressive 10 season run, What Not To Wear was one of the most successful and highest rated shows the network has ever aired. 15. It’s an adaptation!
Originally launched by the BBC as a makeover reality show, Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine pioneered the TV show that would transform people from drab to fab. Each episode featured a man or woman who had been nominated by friends for a much-needed makeover. Trinny and Susannah would tear into the participant’s wardrobe, sometimes very literally. The participant would receive £2000 to go out and find a more suitable wardrobe. The same premise is used for the American parallel with Stacy London and Clinton Kelly at the helm.
