Have you ever seen a really great movie and had someone snidely remark that "the book was better"? What about when it's the author of the actual book itself? Hollywood is known for taking some literary greats and transforming them to the big screen with results that can vary. 13. Breakfast at Tiffany's

When you think about the most iconic characters of all time, Audrey Hepburn playing Holly Golightly in Breakfast At Tiffany's is up there with the best of them. The petite brunette actress with a cigarette holder and tiara has become one of the most recreated looks, and it's all thanks to Hepburn. However, famed author Truman Capote didn't agree. His original choice was Marilyn Monroe and went so far as to say, "It was the most miscast film I've ever seen. It made me want to throw up." Yikes.
